Shafallah signs a contract for the implementation of the unified Qatari classification project for persons with disabilities according to the Arab classification under the supervision of the League of Arab States.

The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family and Head of the Team Preparing the Unified Country Classification of Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) project, signed a contract with Phoenix for Integrated Health Strategies, Solutions and Advisory Services, within the framework of preparing the draft unified Qatari classification for persons with disabilities according to the Arab classification under the supervision of the League of Arab States. It was signed by Mrs. Maryam Saif Al Suwaidi, CEO of Shafallah Center, and Dr. Dina Omar Ismail Mohamed, Chairman of Phoenix Strategy.

In this context, Mrs. Maryam Saif Al-Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, stated that the strategic objectives of the CCF include the preparation of the Standard Service Classification for Persons with Disabilities in the State of Qatar, in addition to unifying the evaluation mechanism for persons with disabilities, with the aim of identifying services directed to each category. The Swedish pointed out The social and societal dimension has been added to the medical and health assessment with the creation of an ideal model for centers serving people with disabilities.

The Executive Director of the Shafallah Center confirmed that key performance indicators will be developed for services for persons with disabilities. Al-Suwaidi said that the total duration of the contract is thirteen calendar months from the date of signing the contract.

In this context, Mrs. Maryam Saif Al-Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, indicated that the CCD addresses several axes, the most important of which are the Standard Country Classification for Disability and Institutional Development, the axis of operational efficiency, financial sufficiency, and finally the axis of case management.

On the other hand, Mrs. Maryam Saif Al-Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, stressed that the most important outputs of the strategic objectives that will result from the Standard Services Classification for Persons with Disabilities in the State of Qatar are the comprehensive assessment tool, the user guide, and trained cadres, in addition to the comprehensive document of the ideal center for providing services to persons with disabilities. The guide will also develop the framework for the complaint and grievance management mechanism, as well as the framework for managing cases and reports on services in the State of Qatar and gaps. In addition to developing a framework for measuring institutional and national performance for services for persons with disabilities. 

It is worth mentioning that it was proposed to complete the idea of the unified national classification of persons with disabilities in cooperation with the League of Arab States and the experts proposed by them at the meeting of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs at its 41st session in the State of Qatar, to complement the idea emanating from the League of Arab States. Accordingly, the request for contracting with the relevant experts was sent through the League of Arab States, as it is a qualitative project and has intellectual property rights for the League of Arab States.
