Shafallah signs a memorandum of understanding with Ent FM

Within the framework of the social responsibility of media institutions

 

The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities signed a joint memorandum of understanding with Ent FM to serve persons with disabilities, based on the key role towards enhancing their role and contributions to social, economic and cultural development, empowering them and supporting their participation in all fields, especially in the media field, in addition to spreading community awareness of their rights and basic issues, and working to achieve communication and integrate them into society.

 

The MoU was signed by Mrs. La’ali Mohammed Abu Alfin, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, and Ms. Sharifa Yousef Al-Saei, Chief Executive Officer, on behalf of Ent FM.

 

On this occasion, Mrs. La’ali Mohammed Abu Alfin, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, stated that the Center pays great attention to building partnerships with various institutions and sectors of the state in addition to the private sector, for the benefit of the target groups, and in turn expands the scope of its services and objectives to an important segment of society, namely persons with disabilities.

 

She said, The joint cooperation between the Shafallah Center and Ent FM included within the framework of signing a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of supporting the center in the media in order to serve the dissemination of the culture of integration of persons with disabilities and introduce the center's services, in addition to the completion of joint projects that contribute to enhancing the capacities of persons with disabilities, training them and integrating them into media work.

 

Abu Alfin pointed out that the signed memorandum of understanding supports the production and broadcasting of radio programs via Ent FM, in addition to broadcasting awareness messages that support social work projects and issues of persons with disabilities.

 

In a related context, Abu Alfin La’ali confirmed the contribution of Ent FM in covering local and international events and occasions celebrated by the center, as well as launching awareness and educational campaigns in the field of disability and correcting misconceptions about it and ways to deal with persons with disabilities.

 

At the end of her statement, Mrs. La’ali Mohammad Abu Alfin, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to Ent FM, represented by Mrs. Sharifa Youssef Al-Saei, for her prolific cooperation and efforts in supporting social responsibility initiatives and programs for media institutions, which will reflect positively on the social and humanitarian levels, to integrate and empower persons with disabilities.

 

For her part, Mrs. Sharifa Yousef Al-Saei, CEO of Ent FM, said that we are pleased on the occasion of signing the memorandum of understanding with the Shafallah Center, within the framework of the social responsibility of media institutions, and we will work hard to support the center's programs and events in the media to contribute to our social and media duty towards society, especially institutions working in the field of disability such as the Shafallah Center, which is considered one of the leading centers in the region.

 

Mrs. Al-Saei confirmed ... Ent FM will work hard to integrate and empower persons with disabilities within the future media plans of the radio and expressed its great happiness in launching the first joint project with the Shafallah Center, which aims to highlight the capabilities of people with disabilities in the media field. By recording and broadcasting religious supplications after the call to prayer with the voices of a number of affiliated Shafallah Center and Al-Noor Center for the Blind.

 

Mrs. Al-Saei pointed, the media plays an important and essential role in educating and awareness of communities, but also in formulating policies and influencing trends at the individual and community levels.

 

She said, People with disabilities are among the groups that need to be highlighted by the media tools, as a matter of humanity, justice and societal advancement in principles and values, and to serve the multiple issues they suffer from, and are overlooked by society and media institutions, and perhaps the most important issues are: prevention and reduction of disability, diagnosis and early intervention, legislation on the rights and duties of persons with disabilities, vocational rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, as well as integration into society and society's acceptance of dealing with people with disabilities, and integrating them in a manner appropriate to each of their categories.
