Shafallah issues His Media Report
The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, which is organized under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, issued the first quarterly report for the year 2020, in which it presented the programs and activities carried out by the center, in addition to the precautionary measures it took to combat the Corona virus.
The Executive Director of the Center, Mrs. Laalie Abu Al-Fain, explained that the Center this year began implementing events and activities that support the goals of the members, and also worked to expand the scope of programs and services provided to meet the needs of the members through the evening program service, which aims to reach the largest segment possible.
She stressed that the Corona crisis required the Center to carry out an exceptional experiment to protect work and ensure the continuity of providing services to members to the fullest extent, and pointed to the necessity of working with changes and coexisting with circumstances, which required the Center to work remotely in accordance with specific regulatory procedures.
The center’s report indicated the mechanisms it followed during the Corona virus crisis, its reliance on electronic programs and applications, preparing the infrastructure and investing in available programs to continue the center’s work, in addition to establishing a hotline to provide medical and behavioral services and overcome the difficulties facing parents.
