The Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel, in collaboration with Al-Shafallah Center for People with Disabilities, organized an open day for the center's members. The event was attended by department managers and employees of the Kempinski Hotel. This recreational event is part of Al-Shafallah Center's efforts to involve its members in supporting and encouraging Qatar's national football team participating in the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
Mrs. Laila Mohammed Abu Al-Effin, the Executive Director of Al-Shafallah Center for People with Disabilities, stated that this recreational event is in line with the center's plan to support and assist Qatar's national team in the FIFA World Cup. She emphasized the center's strong commitment to cooperate and coordinate with all relevant parties to engage and integrate Al-Shafallah Center's members with disabilities in this unique global sports event. The event involved the participation of 150 members of the center and included various football-related sports activities, as well as artistic and entertainment activities.
Abu Al-Effin expressed her gratitude for the contribution and support of Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel in organizing the open day, which was attended by department managers and hotel staff. She praised the hotel's dedication and excellence in social responsibility programs, and stated that they strive to diversify cooperation with various sectors that aim to integrate people with disabilities into society.
On another note, Mr. Karim Tayash, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Doha, stated, "We are honored to work with Al-Shafallah Center and to be chosen by them as a partner in organizing such a joyful day to spend quality time with Al-Shafallah Center's members with disabilities, in order to support the Qatar national team in the FIFA 2022 World Cup." He added, "We are proud to participate with Al-Shafallah Center and, on behalf of our colleagues, to contribute to the center's efforts in raising awareness within the community to build an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable environment for children. Our team at Marsa Malaz Kempinski will continue to practice diverse luxury experiences to strengthen the bonds between our team members and our community."
Tayash mentioned that the hotel organized various activities, such as cooking, cake decoration, and entertainment games, including showcasing football skills. The Kempinski mascot, "Titan Tykes," was present at the event and performed live music with children with disabilities.
Furthermore, Mr. Tayash emphasized that these humanitarian initiatives aim to foster love and cooperation among hotel employees and members of Al-Shafallah Center with disabilities and shed light on the importance of social responsibility activities in bringing about positive change in society by supporting its individuals.
He also affirmed Kempinski Hotel's constant commitment to supporting social and humanitarian initiatives, stating that they are aware of their responsibility towards all segments of society, including customers, residents, visitors, employees, and all stakeholders in their integrated business system. Their goal is to continue working towards enhancing their positive social impact by building happy, thriving, and sustainable communities now and in the future.
At the end of the open day, Dr. Mohammed Telfat, Director of Therapeutic Services at Al-Shafallah Center, presented Mr. Karim Tayash, the General Manager of Kempinski Hotel, with a shield of appreciation and a certificate of thanks.
