Al-Shafallah participates in the fourth annual exhibition of civil society organizations

The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities participated in the annual exhibition of civil society organizations, which is organized by the Ministry of Social Development and the Family, represented by the Department of Private Associations and Institutions. The exhibition aims to identify private associations and institutions and their impact on sustainable development, encourage the spirit of voluntary social work, and discover creative projects and volunteer activities, in addition to introducing the society with the role and services of civil society organizations, activating community participation, and activating the roles of social partnership that enhance the role of entities working in the social field.

In a statement by Mrs. Maryam Saif Al Suwaidi - Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, she said that the Center’s participation comes as one of the entities that provides exemplary services to persons with disabilities in the fields of education, habilitation, and community awareness of their issues and rights, to obtain a more independent life and maximize their integration into society. Al Suwaidi confirmed that the center’s network of services extends to cover all types of disabilities at different levels and age groups. Starting from birth until graduation. This comprehensive initiative comes within the framework of the strategy of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work to enhance the capabilities of the various groups in Qatari society, especially providing capabilities for people with disabilities in the health, educational, habilitation, social, and cultural fields, to reach professional services by providing jobs for the center’s affiliates, which is one of the stations for community integration.

The Executive Director of the Shafallah Center also said that participation in the exhibition contributes to highlighting the role of the Center in its various activities. She also indicated that the exhibition is an opportunity to market Shafallah initiatives and for volunteers to join to work for the Center.

Mrs. Maryam Al-Suwaidi confirmed the participation of the center’s affiliates who were recently employed in introducing the center’s services in the pavilion designated for Shafallah at the exhibition.

Al Suwaidi also pointed out that the exhibition seeks to encourage innovation and creativity in the programs and services provided by associations and private institutions with the aim of developing pioneering projects that qualify them to compete at the external level.

A number of affiliates of the Shafallah Center visited the annual exhibition of civil society organizations to learn about the services provided by private associations and institutions to serve the family.
