The career fair, which was held at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, provides an appropriate opportunity to help students and graduates of the Institute and enable them to identify the most important and prominent professional vacancies offered by the Qatari labor market, and to provide promising and diverse career opportunities, in addition to informing them of training opportunities that are compatible with their ambitions and future career and career directions.

The Shafallah Center participated in the exhibition through an introductory pavilion on the objectives and services of the Center, in addition to its participation in an introductory workshop to talk about the Center's services and introduce it, as well as the importance of employing persons with disabilities and preparing workplaces, as well as talking about vacancies, job opportunities and specializations required at the Shafallah Center.

In this context, Mrs. Maryam Saif Al-Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, stressed the eligibility of persons with disabilities to work through the establishment of the "Vocational Habilitation Department", which was established in 2009, and provides its services to affiliates from the age of 16 to 21 years, by assessing their interests and abilities and training them on job skills according to the jobs available to them in various ministries and institutions of the state and the private sector.

The vocational habilitation program at the Shafallah Center provides many training, habilitation and vocational programs accompanying training workshops, educational services, community integration activities and training on vocational and job skills for the target group, based on suitable job opportunities for them and available in ministries and state institutions.

She said that the Vocational Training Department at the Shafallah Center works through three main sections and units: the Habilitation and Vocational Training Department, the Employment Unit, and the Operational Workshops Unit.

Al-Suwaidi pointed out that the Shafallah Center works on the vocational habilitation of the affiliates through training in the training tracks on many professional and functional skills, in preparation for their transition and integration into the work environments, in addition to following up on some educational, independent and social skills and providing technical advice in coordination with employers on how to deal with people with intellectual disabilities and autism, and cooperating with state institutions in training affiliates through the establishment of training workshops in various fields, including the field of self-care and the art of hospitality. and office work

What is new is that the Shafallah Center works on several training tracks in the employment unit, including: the reception track, the stores track, the library track, and the office work track, which is a miniature work environment closer to the practical reality in the workplaces, in which the target group is trained on job tasks according to the jobs available in the country that suit their abilities.
